Why you need to understand and use wordpress
Without a doubt one of the most preferred platforms for launching into your internet marketing business is utilising a blog platform, in particular wordpress.org, which allows you to effectively host and run your own blog off a domain of your choice. Now you may think what I thought when I first heard of using wordpress, “you’re kidding me, you mean I actually need a blog???”
To answer that question, the simple answer is you can if you want to, you can do anything you like. However, you should think of wordpress as so much more than simply just about a blog, you should view it as simply a different way to set up your website. Besides viewing it as another way to set up you website, wordpress gives you some unique advantages over other platforms. Wordpress is essentially an open source website development program that enables anyone to create ad ons which assist other users to develop their websites with ease. While been substantially easier to use than having to understand HTML, wordpress websites (because they are in blog format) generally rank a lot better in search engines because the blog format allows and encourages users to regularly update them and are designed to be ideal for SEO.
The installation process of wordpress is very easy and can really be done in 5mins (depending on your host); in fact wordpress.org has a step by step instructional program called the 5mins installation. Once you have installed wordpress you can easily access the easy to use backend management software through your chosendomain/wp-admin.
Obviously personalising your website is important, and there are literally thousands of free and paid themes that you can plug into your wordpress which will form the template for your blog. Of course you can personalise this as much or as little as you want, this does get a little more complicated depending on the extent you wish to personalise it, however this is one aspect of your blog that I recommend outsourcing.
Once you’ve got the design right it’s a matter of clicking add a new post when you want to post a blog update or add a new page when you want to add a new page. So simple, that the newest of newbies will find this incredibly simple to use.
